A couple of months ago, when we set up our new company, my business partner and I set up an
extranet with a company called Luminys.
This company has become a lifesaver in more ways that I thought possible.
We have been able to set up all our contacts in one location where we can both access them via the internet from anywhere we can connect. And, we have been able to set up shared calendars for the same purpose. Now, we don’t have to be able to get ahold of each other to see what our schedules are. If one of us is on the phone with a client who wants to set a meeting, we can instantly view the other’s calendar and not have to call back. Then, we can add it to the calendar right away.
If one of us is traveling, we don’t have to have all of our cards with us or all of our contacts in our phone. They are all right online. And, if we forget a number and the other is in front of the computer, we can call and get the information we need to get ahold of someone.
And, if you are a company that needs to share large files for graphics, CAD engineering files, etc, this is the perfect place to do it! They can even host your web site and set up e-mail as part of the service.
